Before transferring bitcoin, please make sure you understand the principles and rules of our Bitcoin mixer.

1. Choose the mixing mode

bitcoin mixer — choose mode

The service offers two processing modes: “Mixer” and “Full Anonymity”:

  • “Mixer” suits those who need fast, budget-friendly coin cleaning without elevated anonymization requirements (as with other mixers).
  • “Full Anonymity” is a professional deep-mixing option: you receive BTC withdrawn from foreign exchanges.

2. Enter the destination address(es).

Open the bitcoin wallet where you want to receive the mixed coins and take the address(es) from there:

Copy the address(es) into the corresponding fields on the main page bitcoin mixer Mixer.money.

mixer money — enter withdrawal address

These are the addresses where you’ll receive the anonymized coins in “Mixer” mode, or exchange BTC in “Full Anonymity” mode.

Below are a few more details about which return addresses to choose, plus some useful recommendations:

If anonymization is not critical to you, just enter one address and move on to the next step.

To tangibly raise security, use this simple trick (works with any mixer). When sending coins to several addresses, use 2 unrelated wallets — e.g. one address from a hardware Ledger, the second from a mobile Electrum.

If both return addresses come from the same wallet, there is a high chance they will be merged into a single transaction on withdrawal — revealing the link between them via cluster analysis.

On our side we also fight cluster analysis — we send coins without change. That is why Mixer.money does not allow custom percentage splits across addresses; otherwise the system would have a serious vulnerability.

If coins go directly to an exchange rather than your own wallet, make sure the exchange’s request validity window is long enough (6–7 hours).

Mode is chosen, return address(es) are entered. Now hit “Mix my bitcoin”.

3. Send your bitcoin to the mixer

After clicking “Mix my bitcoin”, you’ll land on the request page showing:

  • Mode in which the request was created
  • BTC address to send coins to the mixer
  • QR code — handy for sending coins to the mixer from mobile wallets
  • “Download Letter of Guarantee” button (be sure to save it!)
  • Calculator (clearnet only; disabled in TOR)

3.1 Download the Letter of Guarantee

The Letter of Guarantee (LoG) records all the terms and key parameters of your request: where to send funds, your return address, fee size, and mixing duration.

Letter of Guarantee

Always verify the authenticity of the Letter of Guarantee: it is the main proof in any dispute. Changing even one character invalidates verification. This is a robust data-protection mechanism.

How to use PGP keys to verify Letters of Guarantee — described in detail here. Keep the Letter of Guarantee until you have received the mixed coins.

3.2 Send BTC to the mixer

Copy the address or scan the QR code to transfer BTC to the mixer deposit address.

A mixing request is valid for 168 hours: within this window you can send your coins. This is especially convenient when Bitcoin is sent from third-party services that sometimes delay payouts.

Important!

Mixing starts only after 1 confirmation in the bitcoin network. Therefore set a sufficient miner fee — otherwise the wait will drag on.

With a fee that is too low, the transaction may only confirm in several days, meaning mixing will only start once it confirms.

If your incoming transaction hangs for a long time, don’t panic. Wait, or use a bitcoin transaction accelerator: for a small fee, such services include your tx in the next blocks.

3.3 Calculate the final amount using the calculator

btc amount calculation

Scroll down — there’s a calculator that estimates the final post-mix amount including the fee. Note that fees in our mixer are floating; this is one of our defenses against volume-matching analysis. The calculator uses the upper fee bound, so you’ll almost always receive slightly more.

The calculator runs on JavaScript and is only available in the clearnet version. In the TOR version, anything related to JavaScript is disabled for user safety.

4. Wait for BTC to arrive at your return address(es)

Mixing time:

  • 0–2 hours in “Mixer” mode;
  • 0–6 hours in “Full Anonymity” mode;

Note: in “Full Anonymity” mode the coins arrive in several pieces. If not the full amount has arrived yet, wait for mixing to finish.

5. Free test

You can try our mixer completely for free! Create a request, send 0.001 BTC to the mixer, and the mixed coins will come back without any fee deducted.

Please note: in Full Anonymity mode, return is sent to a single address.
